About
This portfolio of photographs is a selection of images from 1967 to the present. Film work in black and white was originally printed in a darkroom on traditional silver halide paper. More recent work was digitally refined and processed as archival ink-jet prints. Several images record a three dimensional series that used inscribed stone I called Petrographs and explore playful word/image unions.
Work evolved from 'taking' photographs to 'making' photographs when it became possible to manipulate and digitally enhance the content.
Astroplay – Renovating the Universe series, comes from an interest in the science and mythology of observing the night sky and the almost impossible narrative to grasp it reveals. An idea that locates a single point of creation and the birth of space and time.
